Do you enjoy fresh mineral water naturally flowing from underground springs? Popular Fukidashi Koen located in Kyogoku Town is the place for you. Fukidashi Koen Park has always been a hit with tourists and locals as a village of great water. Spring Lake is respected as God’s Land since the town was developed in the Meiji Period and maintained well by locals. The intriguing 33th Kannon Statue was built in the early Showa Period (1926-1989) to verify this fact. Fukidashi Mineral Water has been stored underground for decades from Mt. Yotei rain and snow. Refresh yourself at the park after a long drive, drop in to the adjoining Michi-no-eki Meisui Plaza to have coffee, tea or snacks, dine at local restaurants or shop for those locally made foods or sake you’ve been looking for. Restaurant menus include ramen and soba noodles and Genghis Khan BBQ. Rest rooms and a view point are available. The plaza opens 7 days a week except December 31 and January 1 and 2. Enjoy the convenience of Fukidashi Koen’s three parking lots, shops, tables, benches and an outdoor stage. The park’s playground is open from May until it snows. The park also features two BBQ Houses with tables and accommodation for up to 30 people. Chairs or equipment are not provided. Meat shops in the Town provide delivery services to the park arranged in advance. Take Route 276 where you will drive on between Niseko and Sapporo or New Chitose Airport, however taking the Hokkaido Highway 478 is a shorter route to get there from Niseko Hirafu or Kutchan. Driving times are approximate 25 minutes from Grand Hirafu and 20 minutes from JR Kutchan Station via Hokkaido Highway 478.
