Goshiki no Sato Niseko Yamanoie

Goshiki no Sato Niseko Yamanoie is a perfect base for marsh and mountain hikers. Located at the foot of the Niseko Mountain Range, this Japanese-style inn opens to both overnight guests and day-trippers with cloudy white outdoor hot springs that will erase your fatigue away. Niseko “Lakes” or wetlands Hiking Course is a popular attraction for tourists and locals in Hokkaido. These beautiful lakes, or “numa” in Japansese, are natural ponds formed in the middle of a wetland. On clear, sunny days the surrounding trees and overhead sky are reflected in the glassy, calm waters. This is a place of moving scenery. The path is well-maintained, can be enjoyed by young and old levels of fitness. In the hiking course some very beautiful forest with two gushing streams are waiting for trekkers. Nature lovers will also enjoy unique flora and fauna along the way. Climbing Mt. Niseko Annupuri is another great option. Niseko Annupuri means “a mountain that looks like a house” in Ainu language the original indigenous people of Hokkaido. It is the second tallest mountain (1308m) in this area. Hikers will see the clouds below them at the halfway point. In about 2 hours, you will be able to reach the top. From the peak, you can also see Mt. Yotei, which is called “Ezo- Fuji”(Ezo is an old name for Hokkaido. It is named after its resembled shape of Mt Fuji, the symbol of Japan.
