Niseko Moiwa Ski Ground, a favorite luxury powder snow resort located west of Niseko Annupuri and close to Niseko Annupuri Onsen has six exciting ski runs and three ski lift chairs. Niseko Moiwa Ski Ground was founded in 1919 and since then has been attracting many skiers with spectacular scenery of Mt. Yotei. Popular with skiers and snowboarders alike, this spot has become a foreigner skiers’ casual resort. While other ski resorts in the Niseko Region have been developed, the Moiwa Area has been untouched for development preserving it as a traditional ski area. With luxury Moiwa powder snow up to four meters in depth skiers and snowboarders rock through this mountain with snow reaching up their backs. Take a thrilling ride in early morning and you’ll be hooked! Three advanced trails are untouched except the Expert Course periodically maintained with compressing vehicles. The Giant Course is a challenging steep slope perfect for experts with its 24 degree slopes. The popular Shirakaba Course is a popular day course for owhere skiers and snowboarders alike where runs take you through white birches and great snow conditions. Competitions are held at the Expert Run. The Sky Course is an intermediate run with spectacular views of Mt. Yotei and virtual diamond dust on extremely freezing mornings. Main Bahn is an intermediate level or above competition slope and seen from the Lodge at the base. You might see some wild animals on the Rinkan Course (Forest Run) if you’re an early bird. Adjoining Fairy Tale Run is a good start for beginners and children. During the ski season, free non-stop shuttle buses run between Niseko Moiwa Ski Ground and Niseko Hirafu.
