Ram Kobo workshop and gallery is a “must-see” specializing in wooden and steel crafts including furniture, conveniently located in Niseko Town. Ram Kobo founder Masafumi Sawada opened this trendy workshop in 1976 in Hitsujigaoka, a suburb of Sapporo near a huge sheep farm, relocating to Niseko in 1994. Mr Sawada and Ai Endo create exquisite wooden and metal crafts ranging from small to big including small toys, rings, furniture, metal carvings and more. These popular products can be seen locally and nationwide, from tables and benches to commercial signage, national exhibition events and building installations, including accommodations in the Hirafu Village. The Gallery is located under the Niseko Ohashi Bridge on Hokkaido Highway 66. It takes about three minutes drive or 15 minutes walk from JR Niseko Station.
